Virginia/Mats Swenson (they/them) is a performance artist and writer. Their work is often experimental, and pushes the reflexivity of self-perception to the absurd or comical, producing excessive scenes and objects.
They grew up in Seattle, WA and graduated from Lewis & Clark College in 2019 with a BA in English. They have exhibited with Materials & Applications (2020) and the Mak Center (2022) and have been in residence at A-Z West. They live in Los Angeles.
